Levelled Literacy Intervention groups are well underway and are into their third week of a fifteen-week program.
What is the purpose of LLI?
Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) is a supplemental literacy intervention designed to help struggling readers achieve grade-level competency. LLI is delivered through explicit, direct instruction in a small-group format. Fast- paced lessons aim to engage students and promote rapid processing.
Why do readers struggle?
Some kids have a learning disability that makes reading difficult to learn. Others come to school without the literacy experiences they need to become readers. Some children struggle because they've received poor or inadequate reading instruction.
