Greetings everyone! Fall is officially in full swing and that means harvest time. I would like to thank all those that bought Nourish Your Roots produce boxes for our school fundraiser. I'm sure you will enjoy the organic goodies that are coming from the valley. The grade 3s had so much fun when we went on our trip to the valley at Noggins Farm. They had fun picking their apples to take home and were allowed to eat as many as they wanted along the way!
The Grade 3s have been working hard in all aspects of class. We have been working on journal writing and have also been doing lots of word work to help develop spelling skills. Students will be writing a parts of speech poem for Halloween so look forward to seeing those by the end of October. Writing themed poetry is a fun way to learn new concepts.
I would like to send a shout out to those parents/guardians who have been ensuring that their child has been doing their evening readings and keeping track of them in their reading log. They enjoy picking a prize after 4 entries. Remember to read at least 20 minutes an evening.
