Congratulations to Kirah Julian (3rd), Chano Paul (1st), Kaleah Sack (2nd) and Eugene Obomsawin (1st) on finishing in the top three during the MK Chapel Island Science Fair.  Well done all!!!! 

On Friday, May 12th, Ms. Rebecca Paul and Cst. John Kennedy presented LSK with a total of five banners for our participation in the Adopt-a-Library Reading Challenge.  They included:  Bronze for 1st Nations Middle School Division, 1st Nations Past Champions, Gold - Fiddler's Division Elementary, HS Hants County Champions and Gold 1st Nations HS Division.  Congratulations to everyone!!

Judges were veterans Mr. Alan Knockwood and Mr. Joe Francis, along with Constable Darren Sylvester.  Thank you for your assistance and special thanks to Ms. Carol Howe for organizng the judges.

On Tuesday, October 5th, Mrs. Sharon Culbertson, Librarian, received an award for all her hard work in the "Adopt-a-Library WOW Reading Challenge" program.  The Walmart sponsored awards ceremony took place in the New Glasgow Library Progam Room.  Congratulations Miss Sharon!!

Kierra was part of Team Nova Scotia during the CWSF (Canada Wide Science Fair) held at UNB.  She was accompanied on this journey by Ms. Erika Hilchey.  Congratulations!!

On Wednesday, April 2nd, after a lot of hard work and planning, we held our annual Science Fair.  There were many interesting projects and a lot of nervous (and excited) students.  Judges deemed the following as the winners for this year:
